President's Message

My Fellow Members,

Welcome back. I hope you and your families had a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you all at our meeting on September 11th.

Over the summer, the annual audit and annual Associate Membership meetings took place and both went very well. It was nice to see those Associate Members who came, and I encourage all to continue to attend meetings and remain active.

This month’s educational feature will be on Co-generation and On-site Energy Solutions, and will be presented by Mr. Bruce Beckwith of RSR Systems.

There is a vacancy on the Board of Directors with a term ending in 2010. We will be accepting nominations for this position at the September meeting, to be voted on at the October meeting. I would like to remind everyone that we will hold our Annual Scholarship drawing at our September meeting. We will be awarding three scholarships this year, and you must be present in order for your child to be eligible.

For all of the golfers out there, the New York Building Managers’ Association will be holding our Annual Golf Outing on Tuesday, September 23rd at the River Vale Country Club, in River Vale, NJ. If you need tickets please give Chairman Seamus Burke a call at (201) 391-9104. The NYBMA Grand Ball Committee is proud to announce that this year’s Ladies’ Night Dinner Dance will be held on October 17th at Moran’s Restaurant in Manhattan. This wonderful evening will include a comedy performance as well as musical entertainment. Please call Grand Ball Chairman William Waldren at (212) 876-0195 for more details.

Please remember that the order of dress at all of our meetings is jacket and tie, and after the meeting there is a one hour open bar for socializing and networking.

I look forward to seeing everyone at our September meeting.

Fraternally yours,

Scott Casazza,
President, NYBMA

Joseph R. Skilton
